Healthy Living with Food

I create healthy living through various outlets, but food and the kitchen has always been a place of comfort and creativity.  Growing up in a busy household provided many enriching experiences, but when it is was time to be in the kitchen I knew it was my time to create good food and experiment with nutrition and flavors.

My cooking and baking has changed over the last 20 years as more research about nutrition and the popularity of clean, healthy eating has become more accessible.  I knew I loved being in the kitchen, but I was oblivious how much food comforted me emotionally until I became close to 200 pounds when I was a teenager.  The extra weight on my physical structure and my emotional body did not serve me.  I didn’t feel good in my body inside or outside.  Recognizing food choices was the key to my success once I realized how to make lifestyle changes when I was seventeen years old. I continue to make food choices everyday, but I have more insight to how foods affect my physical body, but also my mental, emotional, and spiritual state.
